THE STORY

The History

SAMATA was born from a journey of deep healing, stillness, and soul-alignment.

My name is Brad — and my first true experience with sound healing took place at the Pyramids of Chi in Bali. As the tones surrounded me, I felt every atom in my body align. I’d never known such peace. It felt like coming home — not just to the moment, but to myself.

Yet sound and music had always been medicine for me. Singing in the car, getting lost in a live performance, or laying on my bed with a record spinning — it always knew how to speak to my heart. It gave sound to the things I couldn’t say. It moved me, soothed me, and helped me feel seen.

The History

Later, a breathwork journey gave me a clear message: visit my father in Singapore. That intuitive nudge led me to Thailand. While researching freediving, I stumbled across Shantika Sound Healing in Koh Samui. The exact dates I’d planned to dive aligned perfectly with their practitioner training. It felt like the universe had carved out the path before I even arrived.

Since that day, I’ve been devoted to this work. And it still amazes me: placing a singing bowl on someone’s body and watching them experience deep emotional release — often in tears, silence, or awe. This work is ancient. And it works.

The Heart

At the core of SAMATA is a belief in the vibrational intelligence of the body. I don’t believe healing always has to be spoken — sometimes it needs to be felt.

To me, sound healing is the alignment of the wavelets that make up our physical, emotional, and energetic body. When sound moves through the body, it offers us the opportunity to release what no longer serves — gently, safely, and without having to relive every detail.

This practice isn’t about fixing anyone. It’s about helping people remember: you are already whole. You’ve just forgotten how to feel it.

My approach draws from ancient wisdom, modern understanding, and deep reverence for each person’s unique journey. Whether it’s through movement, breath, or sound — my intention is always to create space for stillness, remembrance, and transformation.

The Vision

Samata means balance or equilibrium in Sanskrit. That’s what I hope to create — not just in each session, but within a wider community of people who are ready to reconnect with themselves, with the Earth, and with their own inner knowing.

I see Samata Sounds growing into a space for healing, growth, and intuitive living.

Whether that continues as Samata or through my broader vision with The Intention Method, I want to continue creating offerings that empower people to come home to their bodies, breathe deeper, and live with purpose.

Why Our Bowls?

All of our singing bowls are handmade in Nepal, sourced directly from local artisans who’ve inherited the craft through generations.

These are not mass-produced items — they are forged with intention, experience, and lineage.

Crafted with the traditional seven-metal blend, each bowl holds a unique vibration and presence. I carefully select each one for tone, feel, and resonance — ensuring that what you receive is a tool for transformation, not just a decorative item.

This is about honouring tradition, integrity, and the sacred sound.
